Celebrities Signed An Open Letter In Defense Of Asia Argento

Ever since we lost Anthony Bourdain, trolls have been taking it out on his girlfriend, actress Asia Argento, online. They’re claiming the reportedly devastated Asia had left Anthony for another man motivating him to commit suicide, as well as allegedly using him and the #MeToo movement to further her career. A group of celebrity ladies (along with celebrity dude Terry Crews who was allegedly on the receiving end of a #MeToo moment) released an open letter to the Los Angeles Times defending her, according to Deadline.

The trolls then took to the Times’ comments section to further troll on the open letter, saying that Bourdain’s suicide shouldn’t be conflated with the #MeToo movement. Is there a Raid-type spray to use on trolls to shoo them away? Do they still make spray deodorant? That might work.

The majority of the signees are female celebrities who have all accused Heinous Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment and/or assault. They include “actresses Rosanna Arquette, Paz de la Huerta, Natasha Henstridge, Olivia Munn, and Mira Sorvino; and Fox reporter Lauren Sivan, who was one of the first women to go public with an accusation against disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein.”

Asia is one of the unfortunately numerous women who claim to have been sexually assaulted by current paralegal Harvey Weinstein in his previous role as King Gross Piece of Shit of Hollywoodland.

Here’s an excerpt:

“We are here to ask those who are angry and grieving the loss of Anthony to find a healthy outlet for their pain,” said the letter. “Asia is a survivor, just as we are, and her fame and outward show of strength does not make her any less vulnerable. Asia is not a headline — she is a human being, and she is in horrific pain.”

And in conclusion:

“Our request for Asia is a request for any and all survivors. Our standing up for her is standing up to any and all bullies. We implore you to be kind to each other, to believe survivors, to stand up for survivors, to encourage, support and sympathize with them. We ask you to stand with us, as we stand with Asia.”

Asia was photographed hugging another man a couple of days prior to Anthony’s death, and some of her social media postings at the time hinted that the couple might have broken up. This is what naysayers are saying drove Bourdain to take his own life, despite some of her online defenders claiming that Anthony and Asia had an open relationship.

Asia’s dad is famed stylish Italian horror movie (referred to as “giallo” in Italy) director Dario Argento. This is the guy who gave us the original Suspiria and Deep Red. You would think the trolls would avoid picking on the daughter of a man who thought this evil craziness up. The witches who run that dance school for Satan might get on their asses.
