Jonathan Rhys Meyers Was Detained After Getting Into A Fight With His Wife On A Plane

Jonathan Rhys Meyers (or “Troubled Jonathan Rhys Meyers” as the tabloids call him) is at it again. JRM, who was once banned from United Airlines for allegedly spewing out the N-word during a drunken rant, was allegedly drinking when he became verbally abusive to his wife. But because airlines make sense, they didn’t call the cops on that. They called the cops because he was vaping on his way to the lavatory. Degrade your partner all you want, but don’t you DARE blow vaporized air in a pressurized cabin and ruin everyone’s time eating boxed lunches and watching Moana!

TMZ says Jonathan was with his wife, Mara Lane Rhys Meyers, and their 1-year-old son Wolf on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles and had been tossing back the sin sauce despite having been to rehab about as many times as Donald Trump has been to a golf course. He has struggled with addiction for a while and said last year that he fell off the wagon after his wife miscarried.

At some point on the plane, Jonathan started saying some pretty awful shit to Mara to the point that it upset passengers. Jonathan eventually stood up and was vaping on an e-cigarette en route to the bathroom when a flight attendant told him to stop smoking, which he did, and that was that. Well, not entirely.

When the plane got into LAX, it was met with a slew of airport police squad cars. The fuzz detained Jonathan and asked him about the vaping incident, which he denied per a few observant passengers. I’m sure the passengers wanted to screech, “Bish, do you want us to tell them what else you were up to?” Jonathan allegedly vaping on a flight is something that the FBI handles so they were called. But he was let go after the FBI refused to investigate and responded with something along the lines of, “Bish, we’ve got North Korean hackers to worry about – not some Irish movie actor and his pocket bong.”
