Mel B Is Still Insisting The Spice Girls Are Reuniting

Because divorce lawyers don’t come cheap, Mel B still has her fangs sunk into the idea of the Spice Girls getting back together for easy money since there are people like me who’d see they are coming to town and think, “Eh, why not?” If a nuclear war were to ever happen, and LAWD knows it looks like it might, I’m pretty sure the only thing left would be Scary Spice insisting the Spice Girls are days from launching a reunion tour. That’s why when she was the guest co-host of the fourth hour of Today this morning, she blabbed about how she and the other four – Victoria Beckham included – will be going on tour soon. Sure, Jan.

Hoda Kotb brought up how Victoria said there was going to be no reunion. Mel B waved away that talk and said, “She’s always bloody saying that — stop it! We are touring.” Mel also made it sound like some sort of deal has been reached with all five Spices, so maybe that deal includes Posh just sitting there and halfheartedly pointing while the rest sing “Wannabe.” I know, that’s exactly what she did in the ol’ days, but it’s been decades! Maybe she just forgot that’s all it takes to perform as a Spice Girl.

Hoda kind of side-eyed Mel B since it wasn’t that long ago she was making it seem like the Spice Girls were going to perform at the wedding reception of Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry. Unless Scary was in Camilla Parker-Bowles drag, it didn’t seem like she made it to the wedding. She insisted that was just because she had a court date. Sensing an opportunity for Today to really dance on the ratings grave of Good Morning America and that CBS show starring Gayle King, Hoda made Scary sign one of her cue cards to affirm that whenever this reunion happens, it’ll be on Today. That means it must happen! If you break a Hoda cue card contract, you suffer by having to then do FIVE appearances on Megyn Kelly’s hour!
