There’s all sorts of ugly shit in the world right now. But each year, we can always count on the dog community to say, “You wanna see ugly? Take a look at this balding subway rat masquerading as a schnauzer” when they dole out the World’s Ugliest Dog award. This year’s winner, a nine-year-old English Bulldog named Zsa Zsa, took home the crown at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, CA on Saturday.
Behold, Zsa Zsa in all her crowning glory:

And here’s Zsa Zsa working it for the cameras with her owner, Megan Brainard of Anoka, Minnesota:
Zsa Zsa and her tongue may look the same way I did the first time I saw an all-male revue at a strip club in Montreal, but she gets the last laugh (bark?) by strutting home with $1,500. That’s a whole lotta kibble. But because ugly is in the eye of the beholder, some people took to Twitter with a mix of the usual “it’s so cruel to give an ugly award to anything” followed up with it was unjust to wrongfully award such an adorable pup with the ugly label. So the main argument is that it’s bullshit to call Zsa Zsa the Bulldog ugly because she’s too “conventionally” cute. However, I think this it’s bullshit, because anyone with the beautiful name “Zsa Zsa” automatically starts as a solid 7 in my book!
