Naya Rivera And Ryan Dorsey Are Finally Divorced

I’ll admit I love a good ol’ fashioned divorce merry-go-round where a couple keeps splitting up and hurling divorce papers only to reconcile a few months later. But Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey’s mess was a little less enjoyable, because in between filing divorce papers two different times, Ryan had accused a drunk Naya of getting violent and abusive on him over Thanksgiving. Thankfully for themselves, and I’m sure the sanity of those around them, they’re officially divorced.

Six months after she filed for divorce for the second time, The Blast is reporting that 31-year-old Naya and 34-year-old Ryan have agreed to share joint custody of their 2-year-old son Josey. Page Six says that both waived their rights to spousal support, but that Naya agreed to cut Ryan a parting gift in the form of $30,000. Naya will get to keep the house she purchased back in 2013 before she and Ryan were married (she was still engaged to Big Sean at the time). That house is currently on the market for $3.8 million.

Naya is also entitled to walk away with “any and all memorabilia, jewelry, and watches” in her possession, like her $100,000 diamond engagement ring.

Naya was with Ryan back in the day, but they took a break so she could date Big Sean. When that was over, she and Ryan hooked back up and got married just three months after Big Sean was out of the picture. A year after they had a baby, and a year after that she filed for divorce for the first time. I can see Naya keeping that engagement ring. Not for sentimental reasons, but just because it’s going to be tough for her to find a buyer. There’s no way that ring didn’t spend all those years on Naya’s finger and not get cursed with some second-hand bad relationship energy. Naya’s best bet would be to sell it in that spooky curiosity shop where Gizmo was bought, because it least it will come with a “Buyer, beware” warning.
