Giuliana Rancic Is Returning To E! News To Replace Catt Sadler

E! News’s inadvertent Norma Rae, Catt Sadler, took her blowout elsewhere when she found out that her male co-host Jason Kennedy was making way more money than her at the same job and wasn’t compensated appropriately when she brought it up to her bosses. E! is now reporting that they’ve decided to hire back the racially insensitive gal that Catt replaced! It’s like cleaning up dog shit by dumping the contents of a full litter box on it. Innovative!

For those who’ve forgotten, E!’s former darling Giuliana Rancic walked away from E! News just months after making  a crack about how Zendaya’s dreadlocks made her look like she smelled of “patchouli oil, or weed” on E!’s now defunct Fashion Police. Well, out of sight and out of mind, cuz’ Ghouliana is back!

Three years after she left E! News, the E! network announced she will return to co-host the show with Jason Kennedy, joining correspondents Melanie Bromley, Carissa Culiner, Kristin Dos Santos, Zuri Hall, Erin Lim, Will Marfuggi, Sibley Scoles and Justin Sylvester. Rancic, of course, continued to host Fashion Police and Live From the Red Carpet in the last three years.

Guiliana is happy to be back alongside one of her best friends, Jason Kennedy. No word yet on whether she’s getting the same amount of cash as him or whether Zendaya has once again dropped E! from her cable subscription. Giuliana supposedly made three times more than Jason back in the day.

“Returning to host E! News is every bit as thrilling to me today as it was 16 years ago when I joined the show and embarked on this wonderful career,” said Rancic, who first became a correspondent in 2002. “Co-hosting alongside one of my best friends, Jason Kennedy, with one of the most talented teams in entertainment journalism, makes this move even more special. I can’t wait to reconnect with the E! News audience and go on this journey together once again.”

She will return to the home of frothy, Kardashian-strewn entertainment news on Sept 4.

The only way to make this move look a little less shifty and desperate for ratings is if they have E! News bullshit translator Debra Messing post a video for them explaining that it was either this or a Kardashian. And do we want to be seeing even more of that family that’s already the lead story on every E! newscast? No, Debra Messing didn’t think so.
