Roseanne Claims Her “Planet Of The Apes” Tweet Was About Anti-Semitism
Roseanne Barr tried to convince people that her racist tweet aimed at former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett was the result of being hopped up on Ambien. Those that didn’t buy that excuse the first time now have another excuse to roll their eyes at. According to Roseanne, she wasn’t being racist: she was trying to shed a light on anti-semitism.
Roseanne’s tweet in question happened in response to a Twitter conversation about the Obama administration. Valerie’s name was brought up, and Roseanne referred to her using the show-cancelling description as “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.” Roseanne subsequently apologized, and later tried to explain, via her Ambien excuse, that she thought Valerie was of Saudi and Jewish descent. Something about the Jewish angle must have inspired her, because last night she elaborated on her theory further.
Thomas Muhammad has agreed to speak for me, as he knows the work I have done in civil rights against racism ALL MY LIFE & understands my tweet was about Iran's regime, not race-The website is: https://t.co/WdOaZ8C3eY

Rod Serling wrote Planet of The Apes. It was about anti-semitism. That is what my tweet referred to-the anti semitism of the Iran deal. Low IQ ppl can think whatever they want.

Something tells me this is definitely not the kind of 50th anniversary publicity the Planet of the Apes people would be interested in. Roseanne was born into a Jewish family, which would sort-of explain the anti-semitism angle, which she continued to double-down on the next day.
My childhood was spent growing up in an apartment house owned by my grandmother filled with survivors of Auschwitz and Belsen. I am an advocate 4 them & for all oppressed ppl. I will always be 4 FREEDOM FROM MOB MENTALITY.

Back to her Planet of the Apes tweet. The Twilight Zone’s Rod Serling did indeed write a screenplay based on the novel by Pierre Boulle. But it’s reported that 20th Century Fox rejected most of it due to the potential cost. They only technically kept his twist ending. I suppose if I suspend belief and believe Roseanne is telling the truth, then she’d still be comparing Valerie to the apes in Planet of the Apes.
And that’s what she came up with during her time of self-reflection?
1) I want u all2 know I'm fine. I've been using this time2 reflect &2 gain insight on what I said & how it was misunderstood.. Needless2 say I'm NOT what people have accused me of! I’ve never practiced "RACISM" in my entire life & never will. Meantime…(next page)

2) I’ve been watching this new doc called "Malcolm X: An overwhelming Influence on th Black Power Movement.” Directed by my dear friend Thomas Muhammad (my campaign manager in 2012)who called me immediately when my show was canceled. https://t.co/honkeu54wl

Halfway through the documentary, Roseanne probably asked, “I’m confused – where’s Charlton Heston?”
