People Are Boycotting Kat Von D’s Makeup Company After She Came Out As An Anti-Vaxxer

Kat Von D is no stranger to putting needles in skin, but as it turns out, her enthusiasm for needles ends with tattoo needles (and whatever needles are required to get her face to look like that). Kat Von D is currently pregnant with her first child, a baby boy she and her husband have already named Leafar. Kat has made it very clear on Instagram that after she gives birth, Leafer isn’t getting vaccinated.

The reaction against Kat’s decision was loud and angry. Some of those people are letting their feelings be known by boycotting her 10-year-old makeup company.

Kat Von D Beauty is cruelty-free and vegan, and it’s sold exclusively at Sephora. Sephora doesn’t share sales numbers, but it’s reported that Kat Von D Beauty does pretty good business. Whatever the numbers are, there’s a chance they’re about to shrink. As BuzzFeed points out, people on social media are unhappy enough to throw away their tubes of Lolita II.

Beauty blogger Caroline Hirons has also called Kat Von D out for her anti-vaxxer stance. And some are roasting her.

Sephora and Kat Von D haven’t said anything regarding this grass-roots internet boycott. And no doubt she’s still anti-vaxx. Twitter and Instagram comments aren’t going to change her mind. Really, the only thing I can see that might make her think twice about vaccinating her child would be if she popped into a Sephora and watched people using her makeup testers. I once saw a fellow customer apply a liquid lipstick tester directly inside her mouth. If that’s not enough to make you glad you got your shots, I don’t know what is.
