Brad Pitt Is Doing Great, You Guys
Time for another update in the Brangelina divorce and custody saga, but don’t worry: this will be a quick one.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been trying to divorce for millennia (real time: two years) and recently things have been escalating. First it was reported Angelina got word-slapped by a judge for not letting Brad have enough time with the brood. Then we learned Brad was dating a genius MIT professor who ended up being way too smart for him and she ended up sticking with her billioniare hedge fund boyfriend. And now we have another update to all of this highly-relevant and highly-exciting information.
Before he goes back to work on Quentin Tarantino’s Manson movie, Brad is hanging out with his kids in London where Angie is working on Maleficent 2. A source told People that Brad is definitely not crying about any of what you’re reading in the news and is doing totally A-Okay, fine:
“Brad is doing great. He has his energy back.”
I have to say I love this statement. It’s simple, yet shady. What was draining Brad’s energy? Not his work, he’s still working… Not his kids, he still sees them… So by process of elimination that would leave his Dementor ex-wife as the source of his leeched-life force.
Previously, Angelina’s team sort of suggested Brad was leaking information to make her look bad:
“This misleading leak is not in the best interests of the children.”
So Brad’s source also went on to say how good a father Brad is and clarify that he would never, ever say anything mean about Angelina… BUT she may be responsible for poisoning his own children against him:
“He doesn’t talk badly about Angie, but he feels it’s her fault that the kids don’t want to spend more time with him.”
I love a good “I won’t say anything about you but…” statement, it’s so whimsically oxymoronic. And why would you talk badly about Angie outright when you can just whisper it to your team who will whisper it to a tabloid, all the while Jaques Jolie-Pitt sits there judging you. Or maybe Jaques is judging Brad’s “art” in the background.
