Neil Patrick Harris Pulled An “I Don’t Know Her” On Rachel Bloom During Last Night’s Tonys
Doogie Howser M.D. sure has come up in the world. Neil Patrick Harris has hosted the Tony Awards a few times, but sadly he’s forgotten all the little people upon whose heads he tap danced on his way to the top. One such head is Crazy-Ex Girlfriend Rachel Bloom’s. Last night, for the second year in a row, Rachel was the backstage host at the Tonys and Neil was watching from home with his spawn and live tweeting. Neil was either suffering from soap opera amnesia or was super salty to be left out because he went in hard on Rachel with a Mariah worthy “I don’t know her”.
Rachel has little bit where she wears tiny top hats, because why not. Apropos of nothing, NPH tweeted:

Ok, Neil. We see how it is. Damn. Shortly thereafter, Rachel kindly reminded him who the fuck she is.

That’s really embarrassing for NPH. Either he knows her and was just throwing shade for what, or he really doesn’t remember a woman who’s a very big star in his own industry, who he has met several times, and whose husband wrote for him for 5 freaking years. Either way, it was a real dick move.

Seriously? Miking Actors isn’t because they can’t project, it’s for creating a proper sound mix. Using a teleprompter is just not being willing to memorize your lines. The director should have said something. Oh wait.

I’m not sure people are really checking for NPH the way they used to. And I’d be really surprised if either Rachel or Bruce are sweating his weak ass burns. I can’t wait for the year Rachel hosts the Tony Awards and does an in memoriam segment for NPH, and NPH alone.
