Glenda Jackson!

Glenda Jackson is 82 years old, and during her life, she’s had an illustrious film career, starred in many movies and projects that are way too smart for my simple ass to understand (yes, that includes The Muppet Show), won two Oscars, and was a member of Parliament in the UK for over 20 years. Glenda could’ve decided that she’s had enough of doing stuff, and would look like to spend the rest of her days lapping up peach-infused whiskey off of a boy toy’s nipple while watching Murder, She Wrote re-runs as she lays on top of another boy toy, but she came out of acting retirement instead and decided to grace the stage with her regal presence again.

Glenda is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Three Tall Women, along with two-time Tony winner Laurie Metcalf and Alison Pill. Glenda won the Best Actress in a Play Tony last night, and when she glided up the stage and began to speak, I immediately pressed pause on my TV. I wiped the Cheez-It crumbs from my sofa, took a long shower, washed my ass thoroughly, shaved, carefully combed my hair, and put on my finest loungin’ outfit (clean sweats and the cleanest t-shirt I could find) before sitting back down to watch Glenda Jackson’s speech. Glenda Jackson is a refined lady of regalness and you must always look your best when in her presence (even if it’s through the TV screen). Get into Glenda’s elegance. I bet she says, “Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?“, like no other!

Glenda Jackson now has two Oscars, a Tony, and an Emmy. She’s a Grammy away from that EGOT. Glenda should win a Grammy every time that exquisite velvet voice gracefully slips out of her mouth, but  I hope that she gets one by taking another career turn into gangsta rapper by releasing her first rap single Grey Poupon This, Bitch.
