Drake Might Have Been Waiting For The Launch Of His Adidas Collaboration To Reveal His Son

Pusha-T has been going after Drake. He released some embarrassing blackface pictures of Drake, and dropped a diss track accusing Drake of being a deadbeat dad to a secret son. Drake has only responded to the blackface pictures. According to Pusha-T, Drake was waiting to tell everyone about his alleged son because he was planning on using the reveal as publicity for his upcoming Adidas collaboration.

Pusha-T called into 105.1’s The Breakfast Club radio show yesterday to explain why he outed Drake’s baby. Pusha-T says he did it because he really didn’t agree with how Drake was planning to reveal the news. Drake has been collaborating on a line with Adidas (both Pusha-T and Kanye West have deals with Adidas), which was rumored to be named Adidon, in honor of his alleged son, Adonis. The launch would have featured baby Adonis himself making his grand debut as Drake’s son, and Pusha-T thinks that’s tacky:

“Who rolls out their child with a sweatsuit? Get outta here. We couldn’t know about your child until you started selling sweatsuits and sneakers?”

Pusha-T is such a beacon of morality and ethics when it comes to children. Please, don’t anyone tell him about the time his best friend Kanye used his baby daughter as a blatant ratings grab for his mother-in-law’s tanking talk show.

But Drake might not have been planning on using Adonis for his Adidas collab. Sources close to Drake spoke to TMZ , and they claim that Drake was planning on revealing the news of his alleged son on his upcoming album. And as for Pusha-T’s claim that Drake should change his Instagram handle to @deadbeatpapi. Those sources say that Drake has been sending checks to the mother of his baby Sophie Brussaux before his son was born and after, and that Sophie lives very comfortably.

Drake might not be above pimping his baby son out for some attention, whether it be for his Adidas line or his album. I can see this ending in another diss track. But this time, one targeted at Drake’s son, and released by DJ Khaled’s son Asahd. Asahd doesn’t need another famous spawn encroaching on his turf as the most heavily marketed baby in hip hop.
