Kim Kardashian Got In A Twitter Fight Over Kanye West’s Abandoned Charity “Donda’s House”

May 29, 2018 / Posted by:

Drake has inadvertently instigated a feud between Kim Kardashian West and the rapper Rhymefest over a charity Kanye West and Rhymefest founded called Donda’s House. Well, it’s called Donda’s house right now, but they are about to change their name in order to distance themselves from the house of Kardashian-West. Kardashian-West, you say? Well there goes the neighborhood.

Donda’s House is a Chicago charity that was started by Rhymefest, an educator named Donnie Smith and Kanye. It’s named after Kanye’s late mother Donda West who was a prominent supporter of the arts and helped to inspire and encourage both Rhymefest and Kanye in their careers. Donda’s House currently supports Chicago youth from ages 14-24 with arts education, mentorship and professional development. And no, I have not forgotten about Drake!

Ok, so remember last week when Kanye dropped $85K on a picture of Whitney Houston’s bathroom for the Pusha T album Daytona which he produced? There was a diss track, “Infrared”, on that album directed at Drake. Drake being the goofy “fun guy” that he is, responded by posting an invoice to Instagram suggesting that G.O.O.D. Music (Kanye’s label) owes him for services rendered.

You’re welcome. ?

Good one, Drake! That’s a “Canadian Diss” if ever I saw one. This prompted Rhymefest to chime in with the following plea.

Rhymefest is the current creative director at Donda’s House. Kanye, perhaps too busy self-fellating, has not responded on Twitter (where I think we can all agree most disputes regarding the running and funding of charitable organizations belong) –  but his wife has. And how!

As far as disses go, I really like this one because it is more telling of the disser than the dissee. It’s good to know that one can get kicked out of Kanye’s studio for not wearing his brand. Also, his shoes are so expensive that even his business partners have to buy knock-offs. I wish it ended there but it doesn’t.

Threatening to dismantle a working charity and joke about having your children run it is a nasty, petty look. But I guess it’s on-brand.

Lastly, but not really!

Here’s Rhymefest’s response.

By this time Drake and Pusha T are all probably sitting back with a bucket of popcorn waiting for Kanye to chime in and send their album sales through the roof. But that never happened. Instead, Donda’s House responded.

What  a Kucking Kisaster. At least DH is getting more press than ever before and it looks like lots of people (Kardashian-Wests excluded) have been stepping up to donate. And if you’re keeping track, we’re still waiting to find out what Kanye’s big plans for Donda Social are! Maybe he and Kim gave that one to Chicago West to run.
