Katy Perry Met The Pope

Taylor Swift must be in full on Serpentor rage mode this morning. Last night, she probably received a DM from her arch-nemesis Katy Perry depicting the “Swish Swish” bish posing with Pope Francis of all people! “Didn’t she kill A NUN?!?!“ Taylor must have hissed to whichever bicurious Victoria’s Secret model she currently has lying around the Pippy Yawnstocking Palace. “WHERE’S MY INVITE? I JUST RELEASED TWO VIDEOS FOR THE SAME SONG AND I HAVE MULTIPLE STALKERS! I’m way more popular than that tramp!” Or so you can imagine.

It’s true, Katy Perry, 33, and boyfriend Orlando Bloom, 41, met the Pope, 81. Orlando was wise enough not to wear his paddleboarding outfit. Take it from me, a lapsed Catholic, the Church frowns upon nude paddleboarding. It’s in the Bible.

Wait, why were a pop singer and an actor who sorely misses the days of Legolas meeting with the Pope? According to People, the Perry-Blooms were there for the Vatican’s 4th annual “Unite To Cure” conference so Katy could speak on meditation.

“Happy Saturday, everyone. I’m here in Rome at the Vatican about to speak on meditation,” Perry said in a video posted on her Instagram Story, as she arrived at The Vatican on Saturday for the fourth annual Unite to Cure conference.

“Unite To Cure” is a global healthcare initiative dedicated to “a unique focus on advancing breakthrough technologies and disseminating knowledge that improves human health, prevents disease, protects the environment, and considers cultural, religious and societal implications.” It sounds like the perfect event for a gal who, not too long ago, was shooting whipped cream out of her boobies!

Katy and Orlando were snapped meeting Pope Francis and Katy placed her hand worshipfully over his as they briefly chatted. She was also snapped in the Pope’s audience wearing headphones which I assume gave her the English translation of the Italian (Or wait – Latin? Ugh, I really am a lapsed Catholic.) She was all done up like the Widow Perry.

Perry wore a black veiled hat and a matching black ruffled dress for the special occasion, while Bloom opted for a black suit with a matching tie.
