Thai, the sneaky guide dog who regularly guides his human into a dog store without her knowing it.
In that picture above, Thai must spot a dog store in the distance, because he looks perked all the way up. Michele Sykora is a student and service dog trainer from New Jersey. Nearly every weekend, Michele’s sister Danielle goes home from college with her guide dog Thai. When Danielle and Thai were home last weekend, they went to the mall with Michele and their dad. Michele tells Buzzfeed that as Danielle and that shifty genius Thai got close to a store called Cool Dog Gear (which is a cool name for a cool dog store), her dad told her to pay attention. Thai sneakily led Danielle into his favorite store without her knowing it.
Michele and Danielle’s dad say that Thai does that all the time. So Michele pulled her phone out to document Thai tricking the human whom he vowed to guide in the right direction. Although, Thai IS guiding her in the right direction, because a trip to Cool Dog Gear gets him a treat, and a treat in his belly makes him happy. And you know that saying (I just made up right now): a happy guide dog is a guide dog that won’t lead you into oncoming traffic.

Danielle tells Buzzfeed that Thai has always been a mischievous son of a bitch (literally), and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Sometimes he shows me places that he just likes. He’ll show me Starbucks, because he knows I like to go to Starbucks, and he’ll show me the pet store, because treats are fun. He’s had a puppuccino [at Starbucks], like, three times in his life, but he’s always hopeful he’ll get another one.”
While stories like this are industrial-strength palate cleansers for the soul-sucking news we read on the regular, I kind of wish it wasn’t out there and that Michele didn’t blow up Thai’s game. The best part about being a devious trickster is that the one you’re tricking doesn’t know it. But now Danielle does. What’s fun about that? I hope Danielle is an impeccable actress and really sells it when saying, “Oh, thank you, Thai, for taking me to Forever 21 like I asked and not Cool Dog Ge- Wait, I smell dog treats again. Are we in Cool Dog Gear? Oh, Thai, you tricked me again!”
