Gwyneth Paltrow Says She’s In Her First “Adult” Relationship With Brad Falchuk
Gwyneth Paltrow has been with a number of famous men – Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, Chris Martin – all relationships that seemed solid, normal, and boring. But after some come comments Gwyneth recently made about her fiancé Brad Falchuk, we shouldn’t be surprised to hear that all three of her past men now get ID’d while buying booze and lottery tickets. According to Gwyneth, Brad is her first “adult” relationship.
Gwyneth is 45 (Brad is a much more mysterious 46-47), which means she’s technically had 24 years of adult dating. But oh no, in those 24 years she’s apparently been reliving her teen years. Gwyneth told The Sunday Times (via NY Daily News) that Brad makes her feel like an adult woman.
“Now, for the first time, I feel I’m in an adult relationship that is sometimes uncomfortable, because he sort of demands a certain level of intimacy and communication that I haven’t been held to before.”
Sorry Brad Pitt, Ben, and Chris, but you’re all just a bunch of immature boys who couldn’t get on a deeper level with Gwyneth. Actually, maybe I’m not so shocked at that admission. Brad’s communication seems limited at “Yo,” while Ben seems like more of a “Bro,” and Chris Martin is “So…..” which inevitably leads into a tangent about scarves. And it sounds like none of them pushed her to be more intimate:
“I could be, like, ‘I’m fine, I’m ready to do this,’ and let myself think he’s the one with the problem. In a way, some of the relationships were designed to keep me out of intimacy.”
But even thought Gwyneth has positioned herself as an expert on being open and honest, she admits that she was the one who was stunted when it came to connecting and talking.
“What came up in the first couple of years of our relationship was how incapable I was in this realm, how I feared intimacy and communication.”
I wonder what insanely high level of intimacy Brad is holding Gwyneth to? This is Gwyneth Paltrow; I was under the impression she’s an open book with no secrets. Hell, we know that coffee goes up her ass. If Brad’s level of intimacy and communication is deeper than that, like asking what kind of coffee, then they might be perfect for each other.
