Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pre-Wedding Extravaganza Continued With A Black Tie Engagement Party
Everybody has that one friend who is always trying to do too much. They want to celebrate their birthday, but instead of just going for dinner and drinks they want to do some expensive ass, multiple day, out of town shit and if you say you can’t go you’re labeled a “bad friend”. Well, Gwyneth Paltrow is that friend times a million.
First she makes everybody drop their lives and fly off to Mexico for her “hen weekend” (SHE ACTUALLY CALLED IT THAT) and now she’s made everybody go out and get fancy clothes for her black tie engagement party that was held in Los Angeles on Saturday. Poor Cameron must be fucking exhausted.
According to Page Six, the event was held at the historic Los Angeles Theater, and because Gwynuwine has been channeling her inner twelve year old, the theater’s marquee was changed to read “GP Loves BF” and “BF Loves GP”. She probably also hired Banksy to run around downtown LA and tag all the skid row bus benches with GP+BF=TL4E.
Page Six says that “The star-studded, 400-person bash” was organized by her fiance Brad Falchuk‘s producing partner Ryan Murphy. Also, the black-tie dress code had a bunch of people speculating that it was actually a surprise ambush wedding, to which I say, AS IF! Gwynuwine’s not about to have a secret wedding and waste the opportunity for yet another OTT spectacle, are you out of your mind? No, they are rumored to be planning a wedding in the Hamptons (of course) for later this year.
Most of those 400 guests were rich and famous so they didn’t actually have to go out and rent tuxedos and whatnot. And nobody could get out of it by claiming they’re too broke to attend.
Stars in attendance included Cameron Diaz, who planned Paltrow’s bachelorette party, and other Hollywood A-listers Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Liv Tyler and Demi Moore.
