Hot Slut Of The Day!
Selma Jean, the Possum Queen of the Furskin Bears!
In 2018, the “Furskin Bears” is probably the name of a group of uncut gay bear activists who regularly protest against circumcision. But in 1983, the Furskin Bears were a line hillbilly plushie bears from the country. The Furskin Bears came from the mind of Xavier Roberts, the multi-millionaire godfather of the Cabbage Patch Dolls. It makes complete sense that Xavier Roberts created something called the “Furskin Bears,” because a picture from him back then looks like the kind of picture you’d see on a Grindr profile from a user named FurskinBear.
Ghost of the Doll says that the Furskin Bears were manufactured by Panosh Place in 1983, and they didn’t stick around to see what the 90s looked like. Panosh Place took them out back (COVER THE EYES OF THE CHIRRUN, OR THE EYES OF YOUR CHILDHOOD) and shot them sometime in the late-80s. The Furskin Bears were dozens of plush toys that came in different sizes. They each had their own name, personality and job within their homeland of Moody Hollow. A Furskin collector could also buy different outfits for them and playsets.
During the Furskins’ time on earth, Wendy’s tried to show up McDonald’s Happy Meal toys by selling six-inch Furskins.
The furry citizens of Moody Hollow included Hattie the pie baker, Jedgar the sheriff, Fannie Faye the school marm, Boone the bee keeper, Dudley the general store manager, Farrell the postmaster, and today’s HSOTD, the town beauty: Selma Jean! Selma Jean Furskin was the reigning Possum Queen of Moody Hollow, whose main job was to just be the beautiful furry rose she was and cover that town with beauty and glamour while working a gorgeous Gunne Sax gown and Timberlands (I mean, she IS country).
As for what became of Selma Jean, Wikipedia says that Selma Jean’s parents moved her to L.A., pushed her into show business, got her ears-to-toes body waxing, and changed her name from Selma Jean….. to Britney Jean, the current reigning Possum Queen of Las Vegas! True story.
