Cardi B Doesn’t Want To Address The Pregnancy Rumors Right Now

Cardi B’s first studio album, Invasion of Privacy, dropped today. That’s an appropriate title, considering that she’s spent the past couple of months watching information about her alleged pregnancy get leaked to the media. In February it was reported that members of her team were telling people she was pregnant with a baby put in her by her fiancé Quavo. Last month TMZ said that she’s due this summer. And there have been all the times she’s been seen wearing a plethora of bows and ruffles around her midsection.

Cardi B recently sat down with Beats 1 Radio’s Ebro Darden to discuss her new album. My guess is she sat down because I’ve heard standing can be a real bitch in the second trimester. But when asked to confirm the obvious, Cardi said that it’s nobody’s business.

“I have been so open to people about myself. People cannot expect me to be open about everything. Certain things to me, it has to be private. You cannot invade my privacy. I’m not a damn animal at the zoo that you just could see everything, no. People will just find out more. If it arrives, if it don’t arrive, then you gonna know what the fuck is going on.”

Cardi is scheduled as the musical guest for tomorrow night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, which means two very live appearances on stage. Wendy Williams reportedly let it slip at the end of today’s show that she heard Cardi will confirm her pregnancy on SNL. No matter what the outcome, it should be entertaining. Either Cardi will confirm what we all pretty much suspected, by rubbing her belly during a performance of Get Up 10. Or she’ll keep the charade going by awkwardly shuffling across the stage as back-up dancers obscure her belly with a series of large plants, moving boxes, and picture frames.
