Jessica Chastain Is Killing Her Haters With Kindness (And Cash)

Most of the time when someone comments with a wise-ass remark to a story on the Internet, I handle it with grace and elegance like I imagine Duchess Kate would. Nah, I definitely stalk their ass on social media while I burp up the two pints of Halo Top I just ate and try and find flaws before making equally as petty retorts. Jessica Chastain, however, did not attend the same skewl of hate (and screaming desperation) that I did and apparently handles her trolls with politeness and a donation to their GoFundMe.

It was International Women’s Day yesterday, and Jessica honored the day by celebrating feminism on Instagram:

Jessica managed to subtly tell us she can rock an ethereal/kinda bored white chick look just as good as Lana del Rey! Only, it didn’t end there. A woman named Karin Schulz came for Jessica for being pro-choice and sarcastically commented on the photo, “Yes feminist that believe in God and stand up for The Unborn. I would be for that kind of feminist.” Jessica responded:

“Yes you can decide what is right for you. I am pro-choice and I believe that everyone has the right to make their own decision. I read about your journey to become a mother and it broke my heart. I hope that your dream will come true in 2018! Much love to you.”

That was a lot nicer than the 45 rat emojis I would have commented on Karin’s Instagram, AND, on top of that, Jessica donated $2,000 to Karin’s GoFundMe to help pay for her infertility treatments since her insurance company doesn’t cover them. Jessica added a comment with her donation: “You’ll be wonderful parents who teach love by example. Someday youll hold your baby. Dont give up.”

Damn, y’all, between this and her locking horns with a film studio until Octavia Spencer got higher pay, maybe we’re going after the wrong celebrity to topple the Haus of Cheetoh in 2020! In the meantime, I’m going to go cyberbully Oprah on Instagram and see if she’ll take care of a down payment for a house in Ptown.
