Colin Firth’s Wife Admits To Having Had An Affair And Claims She’s Now Being Stalked By Her Ex-Side Piece
You know somebody’s been keeping it tight when a Dlisted search of their name mostly comes up with Birthday Sluts results. Sadly for Colin Firth, his days of notoriety based solely on sharing a birthday with Ryan Phillipe and wearing the shit out of a Tom Ford suit are numbered. According to The Times, he’s now part of an international scandal involving his wife of 21 years and her Italian Lothario ex-side piece whom the couple allege has been stalking her.
The Times Reports:
The alleged stalker, Marco Brancaccia, is a childhood friend of Livia Giuggioli, 48, the actor’s Italian wife, and is said to have made threatening telephone calls and texts to her, before emailing photographs to her husband. That prompted Firth to complain to Italian prosecutors, who have begun an investigation and seized Mr Brancaccia’s computer and phone.
The affair occurred in 2015 and 2016 when Colin and Livia were supposedly “on a break”. Colin and Livia kept that shit on the down-low at the time and it’s only now that court documents have been leaked to the public that they’ve released a statement about the affair. According to The Times:
Last night Ms Giuggioli and Firth admitted the affair had taken place but claimed that Brancaccia had stalked her after the affair ended. A statement sent by a spokesman to this paper on their behalf said: “A few years ago Colin and Livia privately made the decision to separate. During that time Livia briefly became involved with former friend Mr Brancaccia. The Firths have since reunited. Subsequently, Mr Brancaccia carried out a frightening campaign of harassment over several months, much of which is documented.
Just because they have sexy accents and drink chic miniature coffees doesn’t mean Italians are immune to messy drama. Shit, they invented paparazzi, Silvio Berlusconi and marinara sauce! It doesn’t get much messier than that. It’s no wonder Marco was so casual about his rebuttal to the allegations. What’s a little blackmail between old friends, anyway? Marco says:
“My ‘stalking’ consisted of two messages via WhatsApp after she ended our relationship in June 2016, and an email,” he said. “I wrote an email to Colin about my relationship with Livia, which I now regret sending, and she filed a complaint against me for stalking out of fear that I could go public with what she had revealed to me about her marriage and work,” he said. “In a year she sent me hundreds of messages of love, photos and videos, even a diary,” he added.
Marco says that Livia was going to leave Colin for him and that their marriage had been over for years. Still, he feels bad about sending dirty pictures to Colin because Colin has been so “understanding” about the whole thing. That Colin, he’s a stiff upper-lipped English gentleman through and through!
