Remember when Stormy Daniels played coy about her alleged affair with Donald Trump, and refused to confirm or deny whether she was paid $130,000 in hush money to sign an NDA? NBC News says that Stormy Daniels filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against Trump, alleging that he voided their NDA by forgetting to sign it.
According to the lawsuit, a month before the Presidential election, Stormy was approached by Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen with a “hush agreement” (as it’s called in the suit), barring her from disclosing any details of their alleged 2006 affair. Trump is named in the hush agreement as “David Dennison,” while Stormy is “Peggy Peterson.” I’ll be honest, I’d watch the Mad Men porn parody those names were stolen from. In the side letter agreement, Trump’s name is blacked out, but Stormy’s attorney Michael Avenatti says David Dennison is Donald.
There’s a space on both the hush agreement and the side letter where David Dennison was required to sign, and both have been left blank. The spaces where Peggy Peterson was asked to sign show the signature “Stephanie Clifford,” aka Stormy’s real name. Stormy’s attorney announced the lawsuit yesterday on Twitter and provided a link to read it all for yourself.
Earlier today, we filed this complaint seeking a ct order voiding the alleged “hush” agreement between our client S. Clifford aka Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump. https://t.co/upa9u10MqR

Michael Avenatti argues that Trump’s attorney has been leaning on Stormy to shut up about the affair and threatening her with an NDA that might be as useless as whatever cheap adhesive Trump uses to keep his hair glued down.
“To be clear, the attempts to intimidate Ms. Clifford into silence and ‘shut her up’ in order to ‘protect Mr. Trump’ continue unabated. On or about February 27, 2018, Mr. Trump’s attorney Mr. Cohen surreptitiously initiated a bogus arbitration proceeding against Ms. Clifford in Los Angeles.”
Michael Avenatti also accuses Michael Cohen of using intimidation tactics and coercion to force Stormy to sign a false statement declaring that she never had a relationship with Donald Trump. Michael Avenatti appeared on the Today show this morning, and said Stormy had a sexual relationship with Trump, and that she was paid $130,000 to keep quiet. He also says Stormy isn’t suing to get out of the NDA because she wants to “sell” her story, but just that she wants to “disclose the truth.”
The bigger question here is why Trump didn’t sign that agreement. Stormy’s attorney says they believe it was so that he could deny being associated with it. That’s very kind of them to think Donald Trump is that crafty. He probably didn’t sign it because he kept getting distracted by those fake names. “Who is this loser David Dennison? I bet he’s a terrible businessman. Bad ties, I’m sure. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to track down this Peggy Peterson. She sounds like a sexy reporter – I’ll try the Daily Bugle first.”
