The Hell Is Going On With The “Melrose Place” Cast?

February 26, 2018 / Posted by:

2018 is turning out to be the year when the original Melrose Place (let’s never ever talk about that blasphemous reboot starring Ashlee Simpson) gets ruined for us all. Amanda Woodward got exposed as an alleged boyfriend (and cop) beater, AGAIN. And now we’re learning that Jamie Luner, who played Sexi Lexi on Melrose Place, may have Mary Kay Letourneau’d a 16-year-old in the late-90s. I am now bracing myself for the news that Marcia Cross was caught kicking baby ducklings and for footage to come out of Laura Leighton tasering an old lady in the face before stealing her pocketbook. I was going to say something about Amy Locane, but then I remembered that she already went to prison for drunkenly killing someone with her car.

TMZ says that a 30-something-year-old man filed a sexual misconduct report with the LAPD, claiming that when he was 16 years old in 1998, Jamie Luner gave him oral. Jamie was 27-ish at the time. There’s no details on where it happened or if the man was a teen actor at the time. The police are investigating, but it’s not likely that they’ll file charges against Jamie since the statute of limitations is up.

Jamie (who was also in the trash masterpiece Savannah and played Liza Colby #3 on All My Children and ginger dum dum Cindy on Just the Ten of Us) was doing Melrose Place in 1998.

It was only a matter of time before another woman got named as a possible predator in the era of the #MeToo movement, and the name Jamie Luner would’ve never crossed my mind as being that woman. And mainly because, like casting directors who don’t work for Lifetime, the name Jamie Luner hasn’t crossed my mind at all since 1999. Okay, okay, maybe I thought of Jamie Luner last night while checking to see if Confessions of a Sorority Girl was on Netflix. (SPOILER ALERT: It’s not.)
