Cheryl And Liam Payne Responded To The Break-Up Rumors By Doing The BRIT Awards Together

Nothing sells tabloids in England like transcripts of a wire-tapped phone conversation of the Royal Family or Cheryl Cole breakup rumors (what will her next last name be?!), but the latest round of relationship-on-the-rocks reports may be false…or at least not ready to be announced until some financial settlement is made. Cheryl was rumored to be in “crisis talks” with the father of her baby Liam Payne, and it wasn’t just a crisis of some of the fug fashion he rocks on Instagram. While the word was they were oh-so-close to breaking up, they both arrived to the red carpet of the BRIT Awards tonight in London looking like their usual Mrs. Robinson-and-boytoy selves.

UsWeekly says the former One Directioner only had eyes for the ex-Girls Aloud chanteuse, and I think that mainly has to do with her rocking an ensemble that can best be described as Black Swan meets Phantom Of The Opera meets bargain shoe bin at Hot Topic. She carried a white rose in honor of the Time’s Up movement. In other fashion news, Kylie Minogue showed up in a red flasher trench she likely bummed off someone on the Tube while en route to the O2 Arena:

Rita Ora served viewers with teased hair and a Muppet quinceañera dress:

Dua Lipa clearly asked her stylist to find her the mullet of dresses:

Annnnnd for lewk of the night? Ellie Goulding! It’s part-Dorothy Hamill’s ’78 Olympics long program costume, part-auditioning for Linda Evans’ role in that trash-tastic Dynasty reboot.

If there’s a BRIT for Best Shoulderpad Revival, Ellie has a lock on it!

And here’s a million more pictures from the BRITs tonight.
