Drake Continued His Act Of Giving, And This Time He Treated A Miami Hotel Maid To A Shopping Spree
Drake has doubled down on his campaign for sainthood with another over-the-top display of generosity that will be featured in his God’s Plan video. Last time, Drake splashed out at a Miami supermarket picking up the tab for everybody’s groceries. This time, People reports, Drake was moved after reading a feature in The Miami Herald about a hotel maid at a luxury resort who has to commute up to four hours a day due to being pushed out to the ‘berbs because of skyrocketing rents in Miami Beach. So he took her on a shopping spree at Saks Fifth Avenue with NFL star Antonio Brown, natch!

After Drake learned about Odalie Paret, a housekeeper at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach who has a four-hour, two-bus commute to her job in order to support her five children, he teamed up with Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown (a Miami native) to treat her to a day of luxury.
So, with the cameras rolling, Drake and Antonio treated 63 year old Odalie Paret (who moved from Haiti with her family 20 years ago, per TMH) to a day in the life of a rapper/NFL star instead of, oh, I don’t know, buying her a car or paying her rent for a year.
First, she got a massage at the hotel’s spa, Lapis, followed by dinner at the Michael Mina steakhouse, StripSteak. Then she was taken by car to a Saks Fifth Avenue, where she was met by the rapper and football player and given 45 minutes (and no dollar limit) to buy whatever she wanted in the store.
According to TMH, Odalie went straight to the clothes section of Saks but couldn’t find anything that fit her. She tried on some shoes but a $3,000 pair of Louboutins really aren’t that practical for a 63 year woman who works on her feet all day cleaning up after rich people.
“I said, ‘I have to go to church… [I’m not getting] $600 shoes without a strap in the back and flowers!’ ” Paret recalled.
Imagine how many nice clothes she could have gotten if he’d just taken her a normal store. But still, Odalie did have a great time and was very thankful for Drake’s largess. People says she did about $10,000 worth of damage at Saks getting herself some very nice $800 flats, a $2,000 Valentino handbag, some perfumes for the kids and a white gold and diamond necklace. Sure, she still has to get up at 4:30 every morning to commute to work but at least her bus pass will ride in style inside her new purse!
