Julie Bowen From “Modern Family” And Her Husband Are Separating

Julie Bowen who plays Phil’s wife Claire on Modern Family is about to make her own family a bit more modern by separating from her husband of 13 years. According to Us Weekly Scott Phillips, Julie’s “estranged” husband, is a real estate investor. It’s like what Phil, who is a real estate agent on the show, might do for a job if the characters on the show were as filthy rich as the actors who play them.

According to UsWeekly:

Bowen, 47, and the real estate investor tied the knot in 2004 and are parents of 10-year-old Oliver and 8-year-old twins John and Gustav.

UsWeekly doesn’t say how long the two have been estranged but it sounds like the pair have had a long simmering detachment. She probably feels the same way about the show too, if you think about it.

In September 2016, the actress joked to Us Weekly that the pair were too exhausted to get a divorce. “We watch all these people get married and split up and go, ‘Wait, did they get married after us or before us?’” she exclusively told Us at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s 47th Anniversary Gala Vanguard Awards at the time. “We outlast all these people. The answer: We’re too tired to do anything else!”

I feel her there. Going the the hassle and expense of a divorce just to make it official does sounds exhausting. They probably aren’t even living together anymore. I peeped her Instagram page to see if her piece was hot (because I am very shallow) and didn’t see any pictures of him on there but plenty of her with the kiddos. If reminds me of when Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres were married in name only for hella years and nobody knew until Gina got papped kissing on some other dude. Maybe this separation is in the news because one of them is planning on debuting a new relationship. Maybe Julie knows there are pictures out there of her getting wet, sloppy kisses from Stella and she wants to get out ahead of the scandal!
