Dakota Johnson Says She Probably Wasn’t Staring At Angelina Jolie At The Golden Globes

At the Golden Globes, Dakota Johnson got caught caught staring in Angelina Jolie’s direction as Angelina attempted not to notice Jennifer Aniston standing on stage in front of them. Dakota now says that she might not actually have been caught staring at the person we all want her to be.

Dakota appeared on The Tonight Show last night to promote Fifty Shades Freed (or as Dakota and Jamie Dornan probably call it, TGIFThank God It’s Fuckingover). Jimmy Fallon asked Dakota about the picture and she pointed out that Armie Hammer’s wife Elizabeth is looking way harder at Angelina Jolie, while she was being more “sly” about it. Dakota added that she doesn’t really think she was looking at Angelina in that moment, and thinks she was looking at the Stranger Things kids table, because she’s a big Stranger Things fan. Her entirely scientific explanation happens at the 3:40 mark.

Something doesn’t add up here. Dakota tells Jimmy she later tried to take a sneaky video of the Stranger Things kids, and he showed the video. The video also contained Armie Hammer, who was sitting to the right of Dakota Johnson at their GG table. You can see Armie’s shoulder in the bottom right corner of that video. That would place the Stranger Things table BEHIND Dakota, not in front of her like she claimed. That would make it impossible for Dakota to be staring at them from the angle to which she was, thus proving she’s lying!

I clearly missed my calling as a forensic detective.

And here’s pics from Paris of the one Dakota Johnson totally wasn’t looking at.
