A Boston Radio Station Host Pissed Off Tom Brady After Criticizing His Daughter
Normally Boston does nothing but fart out roses (and baked beans) for Tom Brady, and a local radio station learned the hard way what happens if you come for the Haus of Brady. No, it doesn’t mean Mama Gisele Bundchen flings half her macrobiotic lunch box in your face. It means Tom will huff and puff and hang up on the radio hosts of his weekly call-in.
E! News says Tom cut his weekly radio interview short on WEEI in defense of his daughter, Vivian Brady. Alex Reimer, a WEEI host, said Vivian was “an annoying little pissant” in Tom’s documentary, Tom Vs. Time. If anything, Tom should have let the interview turn into a Serial-style docu-series to solve the mystery of how in hell someone in Boston knows what “pissant” means (oh, SHUSH! I live here. I can say it!).
Alex made the comment on his show, but when Tom called in for his weekly chat on The Kirk & Callahan Show, co-host Kirk Minihane apologized to Tom on the station’s behalf and said Alex had been suspended for the entirety of Super Bowl Week. Tom was still a little huffy:
“I’ll obviously evaluate whether I want to come on this show again, so I really don’t have much to say this morning. So maybe I’ll speak with you guys some other time.
According to the Boston Globe, Alex has actually been suspended indefinitely, but he did Tweet he’s standing strong.
I will stand strong!

Patriots owner Bob Kraft inserted himself into the mess, saying, “You don’t do that to someone’s 4-year-old child. Also, I know the child, and she’s awesome.” He apparently doesn’t know her well enough to get her age right. The Boston Globe says Howard Stern then came to Alex’s defense Tuesday, saying it was Tom’s fault for exposing his daughter like that and basically asking for people to comment:
“I’ve got to stick up for radio guys, because number one, you’re on the air and it’s not like there’s a script. But for Goddsakes — Tom Brady should know better. If you’re going to put your young child on a TV show, on the Internet, you’re putting her out there for comment.”
Tom has since said he hoped Alex doesn’t get fired, and Howard said Tom should insist WEEI bring him back to work. I think everyone in this story is soft AF. Tom is soft for being a grown-ass man who makes a Flip Cam documentary called The Land Before Tom Time or whatever the fuck it’s called. Alex is soft for making fun of a (listen closely, Bob Kraft!) 5-year-old and he should know better to pick a fight with someone whose diet consists of organic Tic-Tacs and tofu. Tom is walking carb-craze and probably drives his Suburban through the front window of houses that don’t leave their lights on for his kids to trick-or-treat in – and he and Gisele don’t even let them eat the candy!
