Dennis Rodman Has Checked Into Rehab

On Saturday night, Dennis the Vehicular Menace Rodman was arrested for DUI in Newport Beach, CA after blowing over the 0.08 legal limit on a breathalyzer. He was also still on a 3-year probation stemming from a hit and run he committed back in 2016. About the time of his arrest, Dennis’ agent Darren Prince said that he was trying to get Dennis into rehab, and it looks like he made that happen.

Darren told the Associated Press that 56-year-old Dennis checked into the Turning Point Rehabilitation Center in Paterson, New Jersey on Wednesday. He’s being treated for alcohol issues. That’s the same rehab he went to when he checked into treatment for the first time exactly four years ago. Despite the circumstances (aka a DUI on probation), Darren told People it was Dennis’ choice to go to rehab.

“Dennis decided it was time to get help for his issue with alcohol and finally get to the underlying root before it’s too late.” Prince added he was “very proud and supportive” of Rodman and asked for “prayers and support at this time.”

Booze might explain some of Dennis’ more – ahem – questionable choices over the years. Like becoming friends with Kim Jong-un, and endorsing Donald Trump for President. I hope that Dennis kicks his addiction to get-loose juice in rehab, if only to see for himself whether the Dennis we know is the result of booze or what. Or maybe sober Dennis will only be just a little less messy than drunk Dennis. At least we’ll know for sure if he exits rehab and is like, “Today is a new day, I’m a new man, and you know what? I’m starting to think the world is flat like they say it is.
