James Franco Will Show Up At The SAG Awards This Sunday

James Franco won the Golden Globe while wearing a Time’s Up pin, and it made several women come forward to say he took advantage of them. An event with James got cancelled, and he was a no-show to the Critics’ Choice Award, but don’t expect him to stay in isolation. His publicist must have told him, “If they gave one to Casey Affleck, they’ll give one to you!” James is back on the awards circuit and should be at this weekend’s SAG Awards.

People says James is busy dialing up ex-girlfriends to get to the nitty gritty of his past. A source says he’s taking the Michael Douglas route of trying to head off a story at the pass:

“James has been reaching out to former girlfriends for the past month asking about his behavior. He’s known this was coming and was trying to get ahead of the story.”

I’m pretty sure cold calling people you may have spooked in the past with your behavior isn’t the best way to change your reputation for creeper to Oscar-winner, but what do I know? This might have everything to do with the awards since a source says “there’s no reason to believe” he won’t be at the SAG Awards this weekend.

One person who will be very happy to hear that news is Sharon Osbourne. TMZ caught up with Sharon after a night on the town with her The Talk co-star and First Lady of CBS Julie Chen, and Sharon said he didn’t do anything wrong and shouldn’t stop with the SAG Awards. In fact, Sharon said, “He should go [to the Oscars] with his dick out,” which is kind of ironic since that was probably always Harvey Weinstein’s dream red carpet outfit.
