Selena Gomez’s Mom Isn’t Feeling Her Reunion With Bieber

Selena Gomez’s mom Mandy Teefey obviously has the best name ever her daughter’s best interests in mind. No one wants to spend future Christmas mornings with an irritating shithead. Mandy told Gossip Cop that she’s “not happy” with Selena hooking back up with the subject of the most unfortunate museum exhibition ever. However, she feels that her daughter “is an adult and can make her own choices.” Even if they’re saved in the folder marked “POOR.

Selena’s co-producer on 13 Reasons Why, Mandy wanted to clear up what she feels are untrue stories about her and Selena’s relationship. Mom says that “I do not control her the way it has been portrayed,” probably referencing stories like Selena living with her and being subject to a curfew as well as breathalyzer tests whenever she returns home from being out with the Biebs.

But she did have some deets about her interaction (or lack thereof) with her daughter’s old/new boyfriend. When Selena got her new kidney, Mandy and Biebs must have hung out while holding vigil at the hospital, right? Nope.

Teefey confirms that she did not speak with Bieber during Gomez’s medical ordeal. In fact, she maintains they haven’t talked, even via text, in “years.”

You’d block him, too, if you received texts like “YO DAWG HEY TEEFEY, TAKIN YOUR GIRL OUT FOR PINK TACO HEH HEH [dog with tongue hanging out emoji]

And while she’s “not happy” about her daughter back with the abominable toddler, she doesn’t want to lose touch with her over it. Mandy says that Selena’s relationship with her family hit a rough patch when they stopped managing her career in 2014.

“We never expected to manage her her whole life. We lost family time because the only time we saw her, we talked business,” she explains. “It was no longer fun for any of us, like it was when she was younger and we had to be with her because she was a minor.”

Mrs. Teefey didn’t seem to have anything to say about her baby and Bieber reportedly receiving couples counseling from hipster cult pastor. Your daughter irritating you by taking up with her dopey ex again is pretty tame compared to her eventually having to go door to door asking people if they’ve accepted the lord into their life. If Selena does show up at your door, here’s how to handle it.
