Britney Spears Isn’t Quitting Las Vegas After All

When Britney Spears turned off her microphone for her last show at Planet Hollywood in Vegas on New Year’s Eve (HAHAHA who am I kidding? It’s been off the whole time!), every bachelorette party and gay weekend plan shed a tear knowing their favorite lip-synching “dancer” would no longer be an option for a raunchy weekend in Sin City. Alas, it seems like she won’t be gone for long. In fact, she’s just going across the street.

It was expected that Britney would sign a new contract in Las Vegas and UsWeekly says that’s happened. Britney has signed a deal to perform at the Park Theater across the street at the Monte Carlo resort. It’s the same venue where Lady Gaga will kick off a 74-date residency in December and where Ricky Martin and Cher also have residencies. Throw in Madonna, and they should rename it the Faaaaaaaaaabulous Theater! A source says, “They are really trying to compete with some of the more established venues in Las Vegas.” Britney’s gig is said to begin in 2019, per another source:

“They made the offer and she just couldn’t refuse. She loves Vegas!”

It’s great for us since it means more of Britney’s Instagram fashion shows and painting lessons from what appears to be a modern take on Liberace’s Vegas lair. Apparently the Swan of Louisiana loves the steady gig since it gives her time to be with the kids. Plus, there is a Buffalo Wild Wings across from the Park Theater that is open 24/7. What’s not to love?!
