Jennifer Aniston And Angelina Jolie Are Both Presenting At The Golden Globe Awards

E! News says that Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie have both been confirmed as presenters at this Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards. The unofficial theme of year’s Golden Globes seems to be #MeToo, Hollywood Style. Some women (and men) will be walking up the red carpet in black dresses and suits as a silent protest against industry-wide sexual harassment and assault. That sounds like the perfect night out for Jen and Angie, two people whose skin I assume breaks out into an itchy rash whenever they’re forced to wear anything with a hint of color. But that’s not why it makes sense for both of them to present at the show.

Angelina is nominated for Best Foreign Language Motion Picture for First They Killed My Father. She also spoke out as an alleged victim of Harvey Weinstein’s hotel room grossness back in October. Jennifer Aniston didn’t have such a story, but she is reportedly a big supporter of the Time’s Up movement, having made a $500,000 donation to the cause.

Joining Jennifer and Angelina as presenters are:

Halle Berry
Carol Burnett
Emilia Clarke
Kelly Clarkson
Darren Criss
Penelope Cruz
Gal Gadot
Greta Gerwig
Hugh Grant
Kit Harington
Neil Patrick Harris
Chris Hemsworth
Christina Hendricks
Isabelle Huppert
Shirley MacLaine
Ricky Martin
Helen Mirren
Sarah Jessica Parker
Amy Poehler
Edgar Ramirez
Seth Rogen
J.K. Simmons
Emma Stone
Sharon Stone
Aaron Taylor-Johnson
Alicia Vikander
Kerry Washington
Emma Watson

There’s probably no chance that the Golden Globes producers are shameless enough to have Angie and Jen present an award together. Sure, there’s a chance they might bond backstage and clink a champagne flute of SmartWater over their mutual dislike of Chelsea Handler, but not in front of the cameras. A stunt like that would surely cause a nation-wide explosion of brains from the audience at home, and I don’t think the HFPA have enough lawyers to deal with the class action lawsuit that would surely follow.
