Fraud Alert! Oprah Warns Fans Of Social Media Scammers Posing As Her
Lord knows there’s a lot of scammers out there and Oprah Winfrey is the biggest of them all. She got us out here wearing Uggs, watching Dr. Phil and reading The Secret. Oprah’s probably scammed more people into buying stupid crap than Bernie Madoff, Charles Ponzi and all the princes of Nigeria combined. But most of Oprah’s scams are on the up and up. If you really want to waste your money on Wisdom of Sundays: Life-Changing Insights from Super Soul Conversations by Oprah Winfrey, you’ve only got yourself to blame.
But not everything emblazoned with The Big O is exactly what it seems, according to ABC News. There’s a fraudster out there using social media accounts with Oprah’s name and picture trying to solicit money from the sucker masses. According to ABC, there are a couple of them out there:
For example, First for Women magazine discovered an Instagram account called “own_Christmas,” that attempted to look as if it was legitimate, by posting a screenshot from Winfrey’s verified Twitter account.
And the real Oprah addressed the fake Oprahs’ social media scam herself by posting warnings to her minions via, what else, social media! Snake tail, meet snake head; snake head, this is your tail and it’s DEEEELICIOUS!!!

People should really know better by now but I guess there are still a lot of older folks and a few stone cold dummies who are lured into thinking that the Instagram account “oprah_official_page_not Fake2” with 26 followers is 100% certified organic Oprah.
I don’t follow Oprah on social media but if I did, this is the only account I would.
