“She Knew” Posters Were The Work Of A Right-Wing Guerrilla Street Artist

The Hollywood Hunger Games are being played out here in these streets and most of the town doesn’t even know that they pulled the short straw and have been reaped. Shoot a cannon for Meryl Streep and Rose McGowan. Both were critical players in the nasty game of “she knew” that The Guardian reports was devised by a right wing guerilla artist who goes by the name of Sabo. Turns out, the posters that went up all over Los Angeles this week bearing Meryl’s face with a red banner reading “she knew” across her eyes, were in retaliation for her politics. Her comments about Harvey Weinstein and the subsequent backlash were merely the fuel.

According to The Guardian:

Sabo, 49, said he and two collaborators conceived the campaign as retaliation for Streep using her latest Oscar-tipped film, The Post, to bash Trump. “She’s swiping at us so we’re swiping back.”

The Guardian claims that The Post’s director Steven Spielberg, star Tom Hanks and Meryl have all worked towards billing the film as a admonishment of the Trump administration’s war on “fake news”. Sabo, who claims to have printed and put the posters up himself with the help of an assistant, decided to target The Post because an unnamed co conspirator told him the movie was being “used as a platform” to attack Trump. Sabo said, “we wanted to take a swipe back”.

Given her recent involvement in the Weinstein controversy and the previous digs she’s taken at Trump, Meryl seems like the most obvious target for the campaign. And the accusations of complicity hurled at her by Rose in regards to Harvey Weinstein’s predatory behavior made for an easy target for Sabo. Sabo as much as admits he doesn’t give a shit about sexual assault or Meryl’s thoughts on the matter. When asked if he actually thought “she knew” he said the following.

“I wasn’t sitting in a room with her. I can’t say 100%. But I’d say anyone in the (film) industry had a pretty good idea. I think she knew. Maybe she was providing Weinstein with the fresh meat.”

When asked about allegations of groping and assault made against Donald Trump however, Sabo was pretty sure it’s all good in the hood.

“I don’t know a man who I’ve had a beer who doesn’t talk shit like that. We don’t have proof of Trump doing it. Who am I to judge him on that?”

Some people have proclaimed Sabo the “alt-right” Bansky. He thinks republicans are the new punk rockers and does contract work for the likes of Milo Yiannopoulos. On his website you can buy copies of his She Knew poster for $25 or you could just preemptively shoot yourself in the face because that’s what I want to do now having just been there. According to The Guardian, Sabo’s work has been called “crude, bigoted, racist and misogynistic“. Stay vigilant my friends. And may the odds ever be in your favor!
