Georgina Chapman To Collect $12 Million In Harvey Weinstein Divorce

Maybe-complicit Georgina Chapman may have been married to a complete monster for a decade, but that doesn’t mean she’ll leave empty-handed. After all, he built her Marchesa empire (which, admittedly, seems to be crumbling alongside Harvey Weinstein), and now she stands to walk away with a multi-million-dollar parachute from Sir Grabs-a-Lot.

TMZ  reports Georgina and Harvey obviously had a prenup, but she did some time (ten years and counting, since they still aren’t divorced), so she’s up for $12 million, which is nice since Harvey likely won’t be around to bully Felicity Huffman and others into wearing maxi dresses from Georgina’s company to the Golden Globes going forward. The number is a lot by our standards, but the terms seem kind of chintzy when you consider how much money Harvey raked in from all his movies:

  • Georgina got $300,000 in spousal support for their first nine years of marriage, but the number jumped to $400,000 after year ten (even though she left him in October, they hit the decade milestone on December 15).
  • For marital assets, Georgey-girl got $250,000 annually for the first five years, and $700,000 for each year after that
  • She also gets a housing allowance of $25,000 for each month of marriage.

Add it all up, and you hit that $12 million treasure chest. Back in October when it seemed like bombshell after bombshell was getting dropped regarding how much of a turd Harvey was, Georgina issued a statement that said, “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered.” Somewhere in Calabasas, Kris Jenner is penning a statement with the receipt for her latest E! blood contract that reads, “My heart breaks Georgina didn’t consult me for my services.”
