(Almost) The Entire Cast Of “Jersey Shore” Is Back For An MTV Reboot
Some people weren’t happy when MTV brought back Jersey Shore in the form of Floribama Shore. Sigh, I guess some people just don’t appreciate their share of beachside moonshine. But MTV clearly took note and has decided to bring back the original group of spray tanned, Jäger-loving hot messes.
People reports MTV dropped a teaser during Floribama Shore Monday night and announced that Jersey’s least favorite household will be back in spring 2018 to wreak havoc in some form or fashion and, presumably, hump on each other while doing the Jersey Turnpike in da clurb. It seemed like only yesterday we were hearing of another reunion we didn’t ask for from this gaggle of train wrecks. The new show will be called Jersey Shore Family Vacation, and I really just hope it’s all of them riding in the back of a station wagon shotgunning beer and putting on Bumpits while Chevy Chase drives them to Wally World. One family member who won’t be along for the ride is Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, the only original cast member to not sign on (apart from that one who mistook trash bags as Samsonite luggage). UsWeekly says that’s because she didn’t want to be around Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, her walking case of ‘roid rage ex-boyfriend who she finally quit for good back in 2014.
But the rest of the cast, including Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and Mike “The IRS Situation” Sorrentino will be back. Snooki, who wasn’t happy with some Southern newbies coming to snatch her wine-funneling crown, seemed simultaneously stoked and pissed at the short trailer Monday:
Snooki seems pissed that the trailer is so short, but I have a feeling it’s because this thing got greenlit quickly after everyone threatened to take torches and pitchforks to the MTV offices. But snaps for them for a smart business call. Jersey Shore used to rake in millions of viewers each week, and that “talent” didn’t come cheap. A few year’s off the air, though, and I’m sure they can be bought for a case of Franzia boxes and a half-punched frequent buyer card down at Sunset Tan!
