Ah, babies. The perfect talking point. There will be no awkward or uncomfortable silences at Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s holiday dinner tomorrow. The second someone begins a potentially bad conversation (“Here’s what the government doesn’t want you to know about chemtrails…“), Chrissy can just whip out a picture of her ultrasound. And if that fails, I guess they could just send the dog out in a turkey costume.
But I doubt it will get that bleak, because this baby news is still new enough to keep everyone interested.
Yesterday, Chrissy (with help from 19-month-old Luna) announced on Instagram she was knocked up with John Legend’s second baby.
According to People, John responded to her declaration that “It’s Johns!” by commenting: “Maury will have the final word on this.” I’m sure a joke about a paternity test will go over real well with some of Chrissy’s more (ahem) concerned followers. She’s probably drafting up a carefully-worded response on Twitter, that will most likely read “The results are in, go fuck yourselves.”
It’s not known how far along Chrissy is, when she’s due, or if they once again chose what this one will be. But it sounds like it might probably be a boy.
Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah.

It also sounds like they’ve been thinking about it for a while. A source tells People:
“They have been planning for this for a long time. Chrissy is really excited to finally share the news.”
Another source says: “They are so excited to make Luna a big sister. They think Luna will do a great job with the baby and they’re really happy to be expanding their family.”
Chrissy recently Snapchatted a picture of what her stomach currently looks like, and yeah, she’s definitely pregnant. However, I’m a little confused. People says they spoke to John Legend just last Friday, saying that they were “working on” their second baby and that “hopefully it will be soon.” Soon? Um…either John was being deliberately vague and misleading, or he and Chrissy have the power to materialize miracles with sheer hope in an insanely tight time frame. If it’s the second one, then can John or Chrissy hope for me to find several million dollars soon?
