Tyrese Was Awarded Joint Custody Of His Daughter
Could it be that Tyrese Gibson is finally all cried out (a song I have spent half my life searching for a karaoke duet partner for)? TMZ reports that Tyrese has been awarded joint custody of his daughter Shayla by a judge in a real actual court of law.
According to TMZ:
The judge ruled Tyrese and Norma Gibson will get 50/50 joint custody beginning in January. Until then, we’re told both sides have worked out a visitation schedule that will allow Tyrese to see Shayla over the holidays.
Here’s video of him leaving the courthouse in his favorite sweatshirt.
I wonder if the woman who comes out to say “He’s not going to comment, please don’t” is his lawyer or just a concerned citizen who is also all of us?
Tyrese also commented on the situation by hopping on Instagram.
Let me break it down for you in plain English. In between chastising his ex-wife for discussing a future nail appointment in a court room (how dare she!) and declaring his life is now a no-ego zone, Tyrese is trying to sell his dramatic custody story to Michael Moore, Netflix, or Tim Cooke of Apple. Or any interested investor, really! Tyrese claims he has already done the bulk of the work for you and he’s got the video footage ready to go. He just needs a professional to cut it and make Tyrese Gibson: Hood Martyr or The Tyrese Gibson Story Starring Tyrese Gibson as Tyrese Gibson next year’s Oscars darling. This special offer comes with the Tyrese Guarantee that it will be bigger than Avatar.
Until then, Tyrese has kept himself with a short film that got him in some trouble. TMZ says that police were called to Tyrese’s house early this morning after he posted a disturbing video on social media at 3am of himself eating noodles over a man bound and gagged on his couch. The tied-up dude was identified as comedian Michael Blackson, who had posted a video last week mocking Tyrese’s recent public meltdowns. So obviously, the situation was suspect and people got worried it was a kidnapping situation. When police arrived, Tyrese’s security team reassured them that it was just a joke and Michael was totally in on it.
One would hope that this genuinely good news would help Tyrese heal and move on from whatever he’s been going though, and yet that weird kidnapping video was posted after his courtroom victory. So it doesn’t seem like we’re done seeing his name in the headlines every other day. At the rate he’s going, he might as well just change his legal name to TMZ’s Tyrese Gibson.
