Today’s Awful Alleged Creep Is Tom Sizemore

And it’s awful. It’s bad even for a major mess like Tom Sizemore. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Sizemore was removed from a film shoot back in 2003 after he was accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl. The next storm better be a rain of frogs, because this is clearest damn sign that a plague is needed to power wash Hollywood.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke to a dozen cast and crew members that worked on the 2005 film Born Killers (also known as Piggy Banks). They all confirm that Tom was told to leave the Utah set after rumors went around that he had done something to an 11-year-old actress.

The incident happened toward the end of filming during a second-unit shoot. They were taking still pictures of Tom and his fake movie family (a wife and young daughter) that would serve as a plot device in the film. The girl was wearing a flannel nightgown and sitting on Tom’s lap, and that’s when he allegedly molested her.

Actress Robyn Adamson, who played Tom’s movie wife, claims she saw the little girl make a face that looked like she “could vomit.” The actress, now 26 and choosing to remain anonymous, told her mother the next day during a trip to the swimming pool about what Tom Sizemore had done to her. Casting director Catrine McGregor received a phone call from the girl’s mother, and says she immediately filed a complaint with the Screen Actors Guild (SAG declined to comment on the situation to THR).

Word spread quickly about the girl’s story. One production assistant tells THR that most people’s reaction was to hiss, “That fucking sleazebag,” because he had an on-set reputation for being gross. Some men reached for hammers with the intention of confronting him. Producer James R. Rosenthal (who passed in 2011) allegedly had to stop an angry mob from descending upon Tom. Instead, Tom was informed about the girl’s allegation and was told to get out. Tom denied the girl’s claim, saying: “I’ve done a lot of awful things, and I’d never do anything with kids.” Tom’s management firm and talent agency dropped him on the down low shortly after he was removed from the set of Born Killers.

The girl’s parents spoke to the police but decided not to press charges. A source tells THR her parents didn’t want their daughter taken off the movie, for fear it might possibly ruin her film career. Tom was later brought back for re-shoots in Malibu. The girl and her parents are reportedly now weighing their legal options.

This was all around the same time we discovered Tom had gotten into trouble for roughing up Heidi Fleiss, and the admission by Tom that he had a major substance abuse problem.

Not long after Kevin Spacey was accused of laying on top of a 14-year-old Anthony Rapp, he was dropped from future projects and replaced by Christopher Plummer in All The Money In The World. According to IMDB, Tom Sizemore has a ton of projects in post-production. But I can see at least a couple of them wanting to replace him. In the event they can’t find an actor who wants to step into Tom’s shoes, they should just CGI a low-res picture of a potato over his face.
