Ed Westwick Has Been Accused Of Rape

We haven’t really heard about Ed Westwick in a while. That could be because he’s laying low, living his life, or maybe because no one is really checking up on what Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl has been up to. But Ed’s name has been trending on the internet today, and not for a good reason. He’s been accused by a woman of raping her at his home three years ago.

Yesterday, an actress named Kristina Cohen posted a story to her Facebook account (via The Cut). Kristina says she was inspired to speak after so many other women in the past several weeks have come forward with their own stories.

According to Kristina, she was dating a producer who was friends with Ed Westwick. She met Ed for the first time at his house. Kristina claims she wanted to leave when Ed allegedly suggested “we should all fuck,” but the producer didn’t want to make things awkward, and they ended up staying for dinner. Kristina writes that she faked tired, and Ed offered her a guest bedroom, where she fell asleep. Kristina claims she was woken up by Ed, who was on top of her with his fingers where they should not have been. She says she told him to get off her, but he grabbed her face, told her he wanted to “fuck her,” and then proceeded to pin her arms down and sexually assault her.

After it was over, Kristina says she told the producer what happened, but he was zero help. He allegedly blamed her and called her an “active participant.” Kristina claims he warned her that unless she wanted Ed to destroy her and her acting career, she should keep quiet and not be “that girl.

Ed has since responded to Kristina’s rape allegation by claiming he doesn’t know her, and that he would never do such a thing.

There’s no word on whether or not this will end with the police getting involved. If that happens, he might not want to attempt to charm anyone by playing up the “You might remember me as one of the stars of Gossip Girl?” angle. That’s only going to lead to a conversation that involves him swearing that he was only playing the character of a rapey creep.
