Yesterday we learned the news that shook the soul of your knock-off Supreme-wearing younger cousin: Selena Gomez and The Weeknd had called it quits after 10 months. The reason given was that they were just too busy and not because she was slinking around with Justin Bieber again. Sources said that Selena and Justin are just friends, but now there’s a rumor that she’s considering getting back together with her sleazy first Canadian boyfriend. And the “She don’t love herself” award goes to.
A source tells UsWeekly that Justin really wants to get back with Selena and that he’s been texting her constantly. All that aggressive texting might end up paying off. A source close to Selena says that she’s always been in love with Justin.
“The ball is in Selena’s court right now. She was happy with The Weeknd but Justin always has the biggest piece of her heart. This situation is a heartstring type of thing. She has to figure out what she wants…she can’t deny that she still loves Justin. He had such a big piece of her heart and was such a huge part of her life for so long. She can’t just let him go.”
Another source tells People that Justin is trying hard to prove that he’s a changed man. New Justin is all about church and he’s reformed his spoiled brat ways. At least that’s what he wants Selena’s parents to think.
“Justin is aware Selena’s family is not thrilled they are hanging out. They think he caused Selena a lot of grief. Justin hopes he can prove to them that he has changed. He has changed a lot in the past few months. He is a very different person.”
Oh yes, totally. For example, Old Justin didn’t really wear his glasses that much. But New Justin, he wears his glasses a lot more. So much change!
But Selena and Justin Pt. (insert infinity symbol here) might not happen right away. One of UsWeekly’s sources claim that Selena isn’t thinking about dating right now, and is only concerned with her health. Although that source adds that Selena and Justin’s friends figure it’s only a matter of time before they get back together. And thus begins the most insufferable game of “Will They/Oh God They Totally Will” those friends will ever have to suffer through. They’re probably saying, “Ugh, just fast-foward to the part where you get together so we can start the follow-up game, Deeply Questioning Your Ability to Make Good Choices.”
