Simon Cowell Took A Scary Tumble

Music mogul and professional dream dasher Simon Cowell had a scary fall down a flight of stairs at his London house early this morning. Do all his eliminated acts from last week’s X Factor have an alibi?

TMZ says Simon was rushed to the hospital earlier today after the spill. Simon wound up in an “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” state after waking up in the middle of the night feeling dizzy. Rather than pop a pill like the rest of us, Simon’s inner Memaw came out, and he apparently wanted to treat his queasiness with some hot milk. He fainted just as he got to the stairs and took the tumble.

An ambulance came and took him away. Simon’s baby mother and fiancee Lauren Silverman was away in New York when the spill went down, so she’s now en route back to London. How did Simon summon the ambulance then?? Life alert? Send up a flare and see which member of One Direction arrived the quickest? TMZ also reports Simon was driven back home after spending a few hours in the hospital. Even though he was carted out earlier in the day in a neck brace, he was in good enough spirits sans-brace to give a thumbs up to the paparazzi:

Docs in the hospital gave him the clear after running tests and a CAT scan to make sure the spill didn’t do serious brain damage or anything detrimental like suddenly making him the nice X-Factor judge.
