Jennifer Garner Is Apparently Annoyed With The Recent Bad Ben Affleck Press

So far this week, Ben Affleck’s plan of denouncing Harvey Weinstein’s grossness backfired on him after Rose McGowan called him a liar. Then Hilarie Burton reminded everyone of him acting like a creep on TRL years ago. And then a weirdly handsy French Canadian interview resurfaced. And then then Annamarie Tendler accused him of grabbing her ass at a Golden Globes party. But forget about Ben for a second. How does his ex-wife Jennifer Garner feel about all this bad news? Not great, that’s how.

According to E! News, she’s not impressed with Ben or the mountain of negative press he’s gotten. Bad press means more attention on their family, especially their kids, and Jen’s not having it.

Garner “is very annoyed because it just means more attention on her and the kids as a result of Ben’s actions,” a source told E! News exclusively on Thursday. “She tries to shield them from any and all publicity and scrutiny. She’s taking her kids to school and to all of their activities. As far as they know nothing has changed and all is well. That is always her goal but she’s been pretty frustrated with him.”

Even after divorcing him, Jen still has to deal with Ben’s bullshit. It seems like all she did was trade in one annoying thing (like discovering Ben wasted all her cellphone minutes on long-distance calls to Tom Brady) for another (trying to cover all three kids’ ears when someone pipes up about daddy’s alleged issues with keeping his hands to himself).

Not to mention how annoyed Jen probably was at Ben when he called her up and begged for an emergency happy family damage control photo-op. Have you ever tried to arrange one of those things at the last minute? Here’s Ben picking up his daughters from school yesterday and meeting with Jen for ice cream. See, Ben totally isn’t a bad guy anymore? He’s using his hands to grab ice cream cones instead of…well, you know.
