Mark Salling Has Plead Guilty To Child Porn Charges

Just like that, the performance of “Gangnam Style” is officially no longer the worst thing to ever come out of Glee.

UsWeekly says that earlier today, 35-year-old Mark Salling, formerly Puck from Glee/currently a major creep, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography of a prepubescent minor.

Mark Salling was arrested almost two years ago after the LAPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit served him with a warrant and searched his home (they were tipped off by an ex-girlfriend). After being indicted on two counts of child pornography, he surrendered to authorities and plead “not guilty” to the charges. Authorities later discovered more than 50,000 photos and videos on his laptop, and another 4,000 on a flash drive. That much evidence would have been bad for Mark in court. Like Subway Jared before him, Mark accepted a plea deal.

He was facing 20 years in prison. According to the plea agreement, he has agreed to serve four to seven years in jail, register as a sex offender, and cannot communicate with anyone under the age of 18 unless in the presence of their parent or guardian. Once he is released from jail, he must stay 100 feet away from schools, parks, public pools, playgrounds, and video arcades, and enter a sex offender treatment program. He also faces 20 years of supervised release.

In addition to all his new gross sex offender creep rules, he’s also been ordered to pay about $50,000 to each victim who has requested it (it’s not specified how many people have requested money).

TMZ says that ultimately, Mark’s sentence is up to a judge. So there is a chance he could do more time, less time, or have any number of additional post-jail stipulations tacked on.

Subway Jared knows firsthand that people inside don’t take too kindly to pedos. So Mark Salling should probably expect a couple beat downs during his jail stint. Just wait until Mark’s fellow inmates realize that he’s also guilty of murdering ears on Glee. Regardless of how many years he gets, that’s going to be a long sentence.
