Jimmy Kimmel Had To Increase Security At His Show Because Of Trump Supporters

Lately, Jimmy Kimmel has been using some of his airtime to get into healthcare, politics, Trump, and all manners of seriousness. As it turns out, a certain group of red hat enthusiasts aren’t too happy about what Jimmy has been getting into.

Sources close to Jimmy Kimmel Live! tell The Blast that ever since Jimmy started going hard on Trump and the healthcare issue again, Trump supporters have responded by showing up to tapings in Los Angeles and protesting the show. After a handful of “incidents” with Trump supporters, the show was forced to increase security at front and back entrances of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio on Hollywood Boulevard. Long gone are the days that the biggest threat to safety outside of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio was if a dude dressed like Superman accused a dude dressed like the Joker of stealing his customers.

In addition to the presence of Trump supporters, Jimmy Kimmel has reportedly received several “concerning” emails and letters. Of course, none of those probably came from Trump himself, since we all know his preferred method of hater communication is Twitter.

Despite all the alleged increased security at Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jimmy Kimmel doesn’t seem to be backing down in the least. Last night, Jimmy – who grew up in Las Vegas – delivered a nearly 10-minute monologue on the tragic attack and did what many are doing, pleading for the government to finally do something about gun control.

Who would have thought that the guy who once sang about fucking Ben Affleck would deliver a poignant message of gun control? Not I, that’s for sure. I’m still dealing with the fact that I’m getting choked up by the guy who used to close The Man Show with girls jumping on trampolines in slow motion.
