Crystal Hefner Probably Won’t Inherit Anything From Hef’s Estate

Marrying Hugh Hefner sounds like the American Gold-Digging Dream come true, but apparently it’s anything but. It sounds like all you really get out of the deal is a famous last name. 31-year-old Crystal Hefner – the widow of Hugh Hefner, who died Wednesday night at 91 of natural causes – might have married a millionaire, but according to UsWeekly, she’s not about to become one.

Sources tell UsWeekly that Hef’s third wife signed an “ironclad” prenup (mood killer!) before she married him at the Playboy Mansion in December of 2012. Not only that, sources say that Crystal wasn’t added to Hef’s will when they were married. Instead, Hef’s will reportedly stated that his fortune will go to his four children, the University of Southern California film school, and a variety of charities. In 2013, Hugh Hefner’s estate was estimated to be valued at $43 million. That number doesn’t include the $100 million Hef made when he sold the Playboy Mansion in 2016.

Crystal was married to Hugh Hefner for almost five years. So surely she deserves some kind of compensation for keeping her wrinkly old robe-wrapped husband warm at night. According to sources, Crystal will be taken care of. No word on exactly how she’ll be taken care of, but maybe it means Hef’s estate will provide a complimentary $10 Uber ride on the day she’s evicted from Hef’s house.

I’m sad for Crystal (and her bank acccount), but this might be a blessing in disguise for Crystal. Let’s face it, Hugh Hefner was a bit of a weirdo and I wouldn’t put it past him to think he was giving Crystal a real special parting gift by re-writing his will to include a note about leaving her four peacocks and his collection of house slippers.
