Sofia Vergara Hustled Her Way To Being The Highest Paid TV Actress Of 2017
Forbes has spoken and Sofia Vergara is still the reigning queen of getting those duckets! She’s been named the highest paid TV actress of 2017 proving once again, immigrants, they get the job done. This makes six years in a row that Sofia’s been the richest bitch in the TV game.
According to Forbes:
Vergara banked $41.5 million before taxes and fees in the 12 months to June 1, some $15 million more than second-ranked (Kaley) Cuoco of CBS’ The Big Bang Theory, who earned $26 million during the same period.
Say what you will about her acting, Sofia’s hustle earned her the #1 spot with much of her income coming from licensing and endorsement deals. Sofia’s got deals with Head & Shoulders, Pepsi, Covergirl, Avon (she’s got 3 perfumes), Rooms To Go (a furniture line) and a coffee machine she helped design for SharkNinja. Add in her movie roles and speaking engagements she’s paid like a pimp.
You better not sleep on Sofia. She done already stole your man and now she’s coming for your crusty scalp, your Wet n’ Wild, your White Shoulders, your busted ass furniture and your janky kitchen appliances. Kaley Cuoco (#2) earns way more per episode (about $1 million dollars, more than twice as much as Sofia gets for Modern Family) but doesn’t supplement her earnings with as many endorsements as some of the other stars on the list.
According to Forbes, the #3 spot ($13 M) is a tie between Ellen Pompeo (ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy) and Mindy Kaling (Hulu’s The Mindy Project). Ellen’s money is strictly for Grey’s; Mindy’s comes from a combination of TV, film and commercial work. Mindy’s got that hustle too. Also hustlin’; Kerry Washington (#7, $11 M) who got edged out by Shondaland alum Ellen because Ellen earns so much damn money per episode and Kerry has to work like a Jamaican (one job??!) to keep herself in Manolos and cashmere.
I’d like to be jealous about these ladies getting paid but I just don’t have enough hustle to even fantasize about big checks and endorsement deals. It sounds exhausting. I’m happy to sit here in my Target underwear knowing nobody’s ever going to try to steal my eggs, make me wear uncomfortable shoes or masturbate to pictures of my husband on the internet. That’s Sofia’s cross to bear and by the looks of things she can afford to pay somebody to bear it for her.
