Azealia Banks Started Shit With Cardi B
Rapper and fashion vanguard Cardi B has had a huge summer. Her debut hit “Bodak Yellow” has almost 177 million views on YouTube, and she just broke a Billboard Hot 100 chart record by being the first female rapper in 19 years to hit No. 1 completely on her own.
A lot of rappers, both male and female, have reached out and publicly congratulated Cardi. But it’s not all congratulations and champagne showers. Out of whatever damp dark crevice she was hiding in has crawled the Haterus Loudmouthicus, better known as Azealia Banks, to ruin Cardi B’s picnic.
Azealia hopped on Twitter to express her thoughts. According to Vibe, she did it through a new Twitter handle (@XoCheapy), due to the fact that her trolling got her original handle shut down.
Azealia went on a tear about Cardi B (starting with the origin of some parts of her body) that got real messy real fast. Vibe says the majority have been deleted, but here’s a condensed version of what she said: she refers to Cardi B a “Latina girl,” accuses Cardi B of using black culture, criticizes the rap industry for their support, and calls her “a poor mans Nicki [Minaj].”
Maybe someone close to Azealia told her to cool it with the feuding, because later she tweeted this:

Cardi B slapped back at Azealia Banks with some LOL-worthy evidence of Azealia dancing and singing to “Bodak Yellow” in a club earlier this year.
That video proves two things. One, that Azealia Banks might want to double check no cameras were rolling the next time she wants to get jealous on social media. Two, that “Bodak Yellow” has the power to hypnotize Azealia Banks into some very un-Azealia docile behavior. Usually Azealia plus a club ends with a bit titty or smashed glass. I knew “Bodak Yellow” was changing lives, but who knew that would included Azealia’s?
