David Foster’s Daughter Implies Her Pops Is Serious With Katharine McPhee

A few months ago, there was a rumor that 67-year-old David Foster was likely tapping 33-year-old KatharinMcPhee (see them together in a picture from 2006). That rumor was pretty much confirmed the other night by David’s daughter and it seems like things are really serious.

UsWeekly says the two attended the Grammy Museum Gala in his honor on Tuesday night, and his daughter 35-year-old Erin Gibson added a photo of them to her Snapchat story with the caption, “Excited about my new step mom.”

Yes, a 35-year-old woman did this in reference to a 33-year-old. Erin then put a video of the two performing later in the evening with the caption “My parents.” If I was Erin, I would have captioned it, “Back away from my inheritance, you singing snake.

David and Katharine first met when he mentored her during Top 6 Week on American Idol in 2006. Katharine currently stars on CBS’s Scorpion and David is a huge music producer, but I’ll always know him best for shushing those Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when they tried to turn his professional sing-a-long into some chardonnay-induced warbling. Maybe I do get why Erin would be so happy for her dad to be with Katharine. Katharine stars on CBS, the favorite network of old fogies everywhere. Pushing 70, David is almost at peak CBS-watching years!
